1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ? Yes, it has benefited me. I can understand the topics better, and I am able to solve questions that I do not know how to previously. Probably because of the teaching method. The Mentor- Mentee programme has strengthened my foundation on certain subjects.
2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ? -NIL-
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ?
I think it has benefitted not only me, but also my mentee as my mentee would be able to understand the topic whereas i would be able to understand the topic furthermore. This is some sort of revising as both mentor and mentee sit together and study, hence strengthing our foundations.
2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ? Nil.
3. Any Additional comments.
Difficult to find time where both parties can sit together and study and teach.
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ?
yes, it benefitted me and my mentee. both of us not just became better friends, but also able to understand and have fun with the topic by answering the question. it brings about interest in studies. and im sure the results would improve too.
3. the mentor mentee shld be recommended to other levels as well.
Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ? Yes,of course!Because i have hongyun to teach me.I can clear my doubts when you(Mrs toh) is too busy with others.I am also able to strengthened my foundation.
2If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ? -NIL-
3. Any Additional commemts. As we are very busy and don live near to each others.Sometimes a bit hard to arrange for a scession.
1. yes it has helped me as i m able to ask my mentor questions tat i don understand.. it also makes learning more effective....we do our group study work together
2.nil
3.however we r not able to find time due to group studies n qsst....n mrs toh i will try my best to do better for my prelims n o level as i know i did badly for all my sujects during mid year
Yes,it has benefited me in some ways for example,My mentor and I get to focus on a topic which I do not understand for a longer time as compared to the time spent on the topic in class. Thus,I'm able to do the questions on the topic at my own pace which enables me to understand the topic more clearly.
Both my mentor and I could hardly make time for sessions during school days as we've got tuitions and qsst which clashes with each other. Whereas on the weekends,we're not really approved of going out to study as parents want to supervise us.
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ? Yes, it had benefited me. I would be able to know the topic even better when i revise together with my mentee.
2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ? NIL.
3. Any Additional commemts. I think that it is difficult to find time between us due to busy shedule .
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way? It has benefited me in many ways. It serves as an motivation in my studies, to set an example for my mentee. Intially, I thought teaching would be easy, after experiencing, I realised it is more than that. Through teaching, I gained more insight to the subjects, as I have to fully understand it before being able to teach it. 3. Any Additional commemts. It's pretty tough to find time to revise together.
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way?
I don't think so.
2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ?
BECAUSE we both have different time plans and schedules. It's not easy to plan a time. And with all the work and tests, there's hardly any time to do other stuff.
3. Any additional comments.
It may work better if we're paired up with good friends. But there may not be enough to go around.
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ? Um... yeah... it helps me to revise my work(forces me to get out of my gaming time haha) and review anything that i do not understand. also we can sit together and solve some tough problems too. two brains are better than one lol.
2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ? Um.. There isnt enough time for us to group together especially when we have TEST TEST TEST AND TEST AND TONS AND TONS OF HOMEWORK PILING UP FOR US TO FINISH >.<
3. Any Additional comments. quite hard to arrange for a session . gotta find a timeslot where everyone is free.
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ?
it has benfitted me.As i am able to clear my doubts as soon as possible. While i find that it is very useful as it is easier to communiciate with my peer. 2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ? -NIL- 3. Any Additional comments. Difficult to find time where both parties can sit together and study and teach.
melinda 1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ? partially.
i have to do the work before, so i sort of get to revise as well.
2. If No, Why ? Is there any area for improvement ?
it seems more effective if the mentee just asks questions instead of giving work. maybe just let people help in their own way instead of making them go according to a plan.
3. Any Additional commemts. there is no time for the fixed weekly 'meetings', with different schedules.
1) yes. i can find out what type of questions i don't know how to answer. and also learn how to think like my mentor n understand the topics better n score well
1. Has the Mentor-Mentee Program benefited you ? If Yes, in what way, ? Yes it has benefitted me.When we study together,I not only have to help/teach my tutee the problem he has but also understand the topic well first before i can teach him.And since we study together, the time taken for studying tests is lesser as both mentee and mentor knows which part they don't understand and can practise more on that. The mentor also when teaching the mentee revises the previous work and when there are tests we would have been prepared by then.
3. Any Additional commemts. It would be good if Mrs Toh can come and check on us once in a while to see if the group has any doubts(for amaths)so that we can clear our doubts. If not these doubts may become mistakes in our tests, etc.
Yes, the Mentor-Mentee Program has definately helped me in many ways. In terms of revision and understanding the topics better. I could clarify my doubts with my mentor and solve the problem with their help. I have also improved my foundations of the subjects that i am weak in. I've also gained more confidence in tackling A Maths questions through this program.
Any Additional commemts.
I think this program should be introduced when we were in Sec 3.
1)) yes.when im mentoring my mentee,i am able to check on my understanding as well. my level of understanding of a certain topic is put to the test. when i find myself saying things like "ermm, hmmm, let me see, i think i not sure leh" or "better ask teacher", it's an indication that i dont understand the topic well enough.
2))
3)) honestly,i have not had any mentor-mentee session with my mentee so far. it is difficult to arrange any timing because our schedules clash, if not it will be QSST. it might be possible to squeeze in an hour of mentoring but after an entire day of school(considering school ends at 3.30) both of us will be tired. BUT will still try my best to mentor my mentee and me:)
1) Yes. It has benefited me in a way that I get to revise my work while studying with my mentee. We can also ask each other questions when in doubt. So in a way, we're like teaching one another.
2)-
3)Perhaps some assignments should be suggested so that when we start revising, we won't be so lost as in not knowing which assignments to do.
1.yes, to a small extent,it has helped me to revise at the same time, beside helping the others.
2.There are always areas for improvement. This basically talking about the time plan. Everyone will have their own routine after school, after usual remedials, some of them will have QSST , have their own tuition, or both perhaps... that's why both the mentor and mentee's schedule often clash and as a result, the program is cancelled for that particular day.
Also, for the mentor-mentee program, i felt that the mentee should first tell the mentor of what subject and topic that he/she wished to revise... this is to give the mentor enough time to prepare.sometimes, the mentee wanted the mentor to teach him/her about the newest topic that was taught by the teacher recently, which the mentor did not quite understand as well, thus, the whole session will not be beneficial at all.
3.It will be better if mrs Toh set schedule for us, so that we can do it as a routine, because sometimes for this mentor-mentee program, sometimes if either the mentor or mentee is not free, the program will be held as few as once per week, once per month or even none at all...
1)Yes, the Mentor-Mentee Program did benefit me as it helps me highlight my doubts about a certain subject.Furthermore, it helps me to articulate better when teaching the mentee.
Ee Seng said... 1.I feel that e Mentor-Mentee Program is helpful cos I get to revise my work while helping others. 2.It will b better if e program starts earlier in e yr(can run for a whole yr).
1. Yes it benefited me. Even as a mentor, i could learn from the small mistakes that the mentee have made and would try to work out the challenging questions that both the mentor and the mentee have problems trying to solve.
1. Yes, it does. I can understand better because it is easier to communicate with your friend than the teacher.
2. N/A
3. Well, it is very hard to find time to sit down & study together because we will be very tired after group studys & there are QSSTs for me after group studys. However, I will clarify my doubts with my mentor during group studys & lesson time.

Yes, this program has benefited me. This is because as i teach my mentee, i can revise my work at the same time.
